The Art of Leadership
4-Day Immersion: Brain, Heart, and Craft
This four-day program is designed to strengthen the analytical mind, awaken creative vision, and build the emotional intelligence required for whole, grounded leadership.
May 18th - 21st
September 29th - October 2nd
Mornings: Build the Cultural Framework
Each morning focuses on the “left brain” skillset: clarity, structure, and strategy. We use Compete with Culture as a working guide to understand how winning cultures are built, sustained, and repaired. Expect practical discussion, sharp distinctions, and tools you can take back to your organization immediately.
Afternoons: Paint Where Van Gogh and Cézanne Painted
In the afternoons, we paint on location in the exact landscapes that shaped Vincent van Gogh and Paul Cézanne.
This isn’t about being an artist. It’s about training perception. Painting forces you to slow down, see what’s actually there, and make decisions in real time without hiding behind words. Most people arrive convinced they “can’t paint” and (honestly) don’t want to. By the end, this is usually the part they didn’t know they needed, and the part they remember.
Evenings: The Heart, the Senses, and the Human Life
Throughout the week, we weave in the work of the heart: how we relate, how we lead, and how we live day-to-day.
You’ll:
- Cook with a French chef
Learn conversational French with a local teacher
- Share apéro with local friends and experience French social culture from the inside
- Visit Aix-en-Provence, a Roman-founded town (122 BC) with streets originally sized for two oxen-pulled carts to pass, built to be lived in at human speed
What You Leave With
A stronger strategic lens, a recalibrated nervous system, and a more reliable inner compass. You’ll return with real insight, not just inspiration.
Becoming Whole, Finding Your True Potential.
4-Day Intensive: Mind, Body, and Soul in Practice
This four-day program is intentionally intense. It covers a significant amount of material in a short window, designed to create real internal movement rather than surface insight. The premise is simple and demanding: a human being is composed of a body, a mind, and a soul. Most leadership and development programs work the body or the mind. Very few address the soul in any practical way. This program does.

What We Mean by “Soul”
We begin by asking a precise question: what is the soul, functionally speaking, and how does it operate in daily life?
Once we understand how the soul works, we treat it as a usable instrument rather than an abstract idea. From there, we connect it directly to decision-making, work, relationships, and business. The soul is not discussed as philosophy alone, but as a working system that informs how you show up in the world.
The Framework
We use Engineer’s Guide to the Soul, a structured text containing 30 lessons on how the soul operates and how it interacts with the mind and nervous system.
Along the way, we explore:
- How desire and intention are formed and manifested
- The mechanics of the mind, including the Sympathetic Nervous System and the Default Mode Network
- Insights from Stoic philosophy and how they apply to modern leadership and personal responsibility
